Sample Dividers

Sample Dividers

Accurate, Representative Sample Division for Reliable Analysis

Sample dividers provide accurate, reproducible division of powders, granules and other pourable bulk materials, helping ensure that every collected fraction maintains the characteristic composition of the original sample. Controlled feeding and rotating dividing systems distribute material evenly while minimizing handling errors, material loss and sampling bias.

The compact PT 100 is ideal for laboratory-scale applications, automatically dividing samples into multiple collection vessels with consistent precision. For larger sample volumes, the PT 300 offers dust-controlled processing of batches up to 30 or 60 liters, with interchangeable dividing modules for batch division or continuous sampling with reject. Modular construction, adjustable operating parameters and a broad selection of feeding, collecting and dividing accessories allow each system to be configured for specific materials and workflows.

From quality control and research to production sampling, these sample dividers provide dependable sample preparation for meaningful and comparable analytical results.

How Sample Dividers Work

Sample dividers create smaller, representative portions from a larger bulk sample by feeding the material at a controlled, consistent rate into a rotating dividing head. As the head turns, the sample stream is distributed evenly across multiple outlets and collected in separate bottles or containers.

Because each fraction receives material throughout the entire feeding cycle, the particle sizes, densities and components of the original sample remain proportionally represented. This automated process minimizes sampling bias, material loss and operator variability, producing reproducible subsamples for laboratory analysis, quality control and further sample preparation.
